Three cheers for Tony Knowles

Kos shows us how a principled progressive can do the right thing on divisive issues. Let's hear it for Tony Knowles, the future junior Senator from Alaska. Atrios says it best:

There's one thing I think many Democrats have forgotten -- that leaders can lead.

Amen. Three cheers for Tony Knowles!

I agree. Hopefully this will mark the beginning of the end for this intolerance movement.

Tony Knowles as mayor of Anchorage and govenor of Alaska represented the people on all issues who voted for him.He always took the time to address the needs of the people. During his administration he didn't just show up at election time.
We received a very rude wakeup call when the Murkowski/Murkowski took ofice.
The first thing that Murkowski did was take the human and humanity out of human services. He drastically slashed funding for the elderly and disabled programs. Now, he is eliminating them.
