"I am not a number! I am a free man!"

For the record, none of the teachers that I had at this famous understanding and caring high school referred to his students by number instead of by name. Maybe things changed when they moved to the new building, I don't know, but I was always a name.

By the way, counting her and Julia and apparently this guy, that's at least four bloggers who are also Stuyvesant graduates that I (now) know of. Not that there's a competition for this sort of thing. Yet.

My sister and my friend Josh also went to Stuy and have LJs.

Counting myself, I know at least seven Hunter College HS alumni with blogs -- no, eight, Bruce Schneier went to Hunter too -- plus the boyfriend representing Bronx Science. We're bad, we're nationwide.

I remember pointing out to some Disney drone after a "Sensitivity Training" thing who kept saying "cast members" that it says "employee number" on the paystubs and not "cast members" so please don't insult the staff by calling them cast members.

*shrug* my sensitivity is for picky details.
