St. Arnold's chief executive, Brock Wagner, won't reveal the name of the winning bidder until Jan. 1 during a brewery tour, but he did say that "Robo-Gonzo," the pseudonym used by the winner, is a longtime supporter of the brewery.

"He's still trying to decide if he'll name the fermenter for himself or give it to his wife for a Christmas present," Wagner said.
