Another statistic that should be looked at is the average wage of those new jobs.

If the new jobs generally pay less than the jobs we're losing, it's not much of an improvement.

Also, anyone know how those job numbers stack up against the growth of our working-age population? If we're creating fewer jobs than jobseekers, it's nothing to brag about (though that hasn't stopped Shrub at the national level).
