More free media for Andy Taylor

I learned one thing from this puffy piece on Andy Taylor. I already knew he was a blowhard who's made quite a good living lately off of Republican mischiefmaking. I knew he has at best a distant relationship with the truth, as we saw with his fradulent accusations during the Heflin challenge and as we are seeing now with his efforts to obfuscate existing campaign law. What I didn't know but learned to my chagrin is that he's a fellow graduate of Trinity University. Which probably means there'll be an alumni magazine feature on him soon. Ugh.

Don't worry, at UH we gave the Congressvarmit himself, a proud product of the most diverse student body in the country. so at least Trinity alumns have that going for them.

Maybe it'll come with a picture of him big enough to tack on a dartboard. That could be useful.

Hi Chuck,

Ugh - and he graduated summa cum laude just like me! How much are you betting he was something gross like a Bengal Lancer?

Interesting...that's the second puff piece written by Kristen Mack on Andy Taylor in two weeks. She's apparently pretty hung up on Taylor, despite the fact that he has a fairly miserable record as a lawyer. Last time around, she called him the "go-to guy", by which I guess she means the guy to go to if you don't have beans for a legal case. First, he encourages and then defends the redistricting case, taking in a hefty 700k for his work (which may still be overturned, even by our Republican U.S. Supreme Court), loses the Heflin challenge (despite his allegations of "massive" voting fraud) and we will know soon enough whether his representation of TAB is worth a damn.

I think we're safe, Chuck because I think he is lying. Ted (Turner ' 86) and I just went through our 4 years of Mirages ('82- '86). The guy is 43 and we are 41 so you figure that he was in school when we were - maybe a couple of classes above us.

Nope! Not a single picture of him anywhere in
the yearbooks! My guess is that he has an associates' degree from SAC and then got a mail-order J.D. It would explain alot eh?

Or - hey - maybe he was a male prostitute and has his own website....oh wait! That was that OTHER guy! My bad!

Elizabeth,

Your comment intrigued me enough to do a search of the Trinity alumni directory (it's online, for those who don't know, but you have to be an alum to have access). This is what I found searching for "Andy Taylor":

Personal Information

Degree BA

I'd say that's our guy, so maybe he went by "William" or some variant of that back in the day. Or maybe he was just very camera-shy. Either way, alas, it seems we're stuck with him.
