I live for this

Opening Day. Yankees over Red Sox. Life is good.

It was a little strange seeing the Yankees in the first game of the season (I for one kinda liked the tradition of the Reds kicking things off), and on a Sunday night, no less, but what the hell. Play ball!

Last night doesn't count. Nothing before the Reds game counts. I don't care if it rains in Cincinatti till Thursday. Nothing counts before the first Reds game.

When I am queen of the world, you can be sure that rule will be enforced.

It is interesting that the Astros are picking up right where they left off last year--- with the Cardinals at home. Time to see if all of the Round Rock Express alumni can step up this year.

The only reason that the Red Sox-Yankees game was played last night was because of the NCAA basketball championship game tonight. Based on the weather in NYC, even Ernie Banks would not have wanted to play two last night.

It does, however, beat going to Japan to play two regular season games, then coming back to Florida to complete the spring training schedule. I would rather, however, have the Reds start the season at 12:05 and let everybody else start at their scheduled times.

Well, excepting that you're a little too far north to be supporting the New York team, I'm touched.

The Mets. Nixon never pardoned the owner.
