Juan Garcia speaks

Juan Garcia, onetime announced candidate for Senate, disappeared off the radar a few weeks ago with a note saying his site was down for maintenance. Bogey McDuff wondered what he was planning now that we know KBH's Senate seat will not be open. Here's the response he got from Garcia. All I can say is that if you're looking for "another chance to serve", sir, I've got a suggestion for you. Check it out.

"... his resume only begins there. LCDR Garcia is also a graduate of UCLA, Harvard Law and the Kennedy School of Government. In terms of charisma he is second only to John Edwards in people I have met. He had ladies (and some of the guys) turning their heads ... "

I'd say his resume ends there! :^D He ought to fly alright --- as a candidate for the office of president of Harvard. :^D

Just what we need in Washington, a UCLA/Harvard/Kennedy Grad, the return of the "Best and the Brightest" ...

Run a guy like that in Texas and we'll hang him with those UC/Harvard credentials! Not to mention 30 second spots with some of those democrat boys whose heads he turned! :^D

As a "vet", I would like to commend Mr. Garcia for so directly clarifying his record of military service. It is easy for someone who has served in the military to be technically accurate about their service record while crafting a message with a more heroic bent. It is nice to see someone seeking office not try to make undue political hay from their service.

I served in the Air Force with 4 deployments to the Persian Gulf and another to the former Yugoslavia. But during the heat of the Gulf War, I guarded the flightline of Holloman Air Force Base in Alamogordo, NM from the impending Iraqi counterattack from covert Mexican bases. As the Scuds rained down this "Gulf vet" watched on CNN in the squadron lounge with jalapeno popcorn and a beer. Not all vets are created equal.
