I see that Andrew Sullivan has another pledge drive going on. Apparently, the $80,000 he raised six months ago wasn't enough to tide him over. I just want to know one thing - if he doesn't raise enough money to keep him in bandwidth this time, will God call him home?
Posted by Charles Kuffner on June 10, 2003 to General snarkiness | TrackBackI examined his plan for the pay blog which would still offer the content free to non-subscribers.
I decided to follow suit with my own idea - I'm going to charge people by the word. If you don't like a particular post, stop reading. I won't charge you for the rest of it.
I think if I charge, say, 1 cent a word then for the 20 bucks Sullivan will cost you, you can read My blog for - at least 2 years.
My goal is, in six months, to raise enough to buy a coffee. Maybe even a Latte.

Posted by: Christine on June 10, 2003 12:25 PMHe raised $80,000??? That, to me, is as surprising as W's consistently high approval ratings. Who's paying all that money to read his site?
Posted by: Amy on June 10, 2003 8:14 PMI want to resell b/w to that guy! Because if he's blowing through that much cash in six months.... well, let me repeat. I want to resell b/w to that guy!
