Pop goes the X10

Normally, I consider business bankruptcies to be a Bad Thing, but every once in a while there's one that makes you reconsider.

SEATTLE - X10 Wireless Technology, known for ubiquitous Internet ads showing scantily clad women as seen from miniature wireless cameras, has filed for protection in a Chapter 11 bankruptcy petition.

Strangely enough, the story did not display in a popup window.

Unfortunately, Chapter 11 does not mean the end of the company. Maybe as part of their reorganization plan, they can eliminate their pop-ups.

Having made the mistake of purchasing some of their equipment and discovering their propensity to spam customers, I can only wish them the worst - I pray X10 + 11 = 7.

They've recently lost a lawsuit brought by some college age kids. It wouldn't surprise me to learn that the Chapter 11 filing was related to this loss, considering it was in the millions.
