The baby has arrived

It is with great joy, excitement, and relief that Tiffany and I announce the arrival of Olivia Rose Kuffner, who made her debut yesterday, June 6, at 5:58 PM, weighing in at 7 pounds 15.5 ounces (3.615 kg for the metric fans among us). Mother and daughter are dong beautifully and will be home tomorrow. I don't expect to post a whole lot of pictures here, but here's one for you:

Olivia and me

Yes, I'm wearing a Yankees shirt in that picture. Gotta start 'em out right.

Needless to say, blogging will be very sporadic this week. Thanks for understanding.

Never been lonely
Never been lied to
Never had to scuffle and fear
Nothing denied to
Born at the instant
The church bells chimed
Whole world whispering
You're born at the right time

I figured that was what was going on when you did post anything Sunday. Congratulations to both of you.

Children are a great blessing. All the best to you, your wife and new arrival.

Also, prepare for sleep deprevation.

I also figured that was what was happening. Congratulations on your new baby!

Now if Olivia had been wearing the Yankee shirt, then she would have really gotten off to the right start. ;-)

(Did you really expect me to keep from making a snarky comment?)

Congratulations, Chuck and Tiffany! She looks like an angel.

God bless you all with good health and reasonably regular sleeping patterns.

Congrats to you and Tiffany, Charles!

Well done !! May she always be a thorn in the side of Tom DeLay.

Congratulations, Kuff, and good health to all of you! And IMHO you welcomed Olivia with exactly the right song in your post above. Now go get some rest... you and Tiffany will find that a scarce commodity in the next few months. Again, congrats and best wishes!

Welcome, precious Olivia! And, hey, that fuzzy guy looming over you is a really nice guy. You lucked out in the daddy department. (Mommy is very cool, too, but that pretty much went without saying since you've already known her for 9 months.)

Congratulations to all three of you. Oh, and to Harry, too! I wish you all much sleep and happiness, and a minimal amount of canine jealousy.

Post more pictures when you've got time! :)

Oh, and may I mention that just as I clicked the "Post" button, I noticed you posted this entry in the category, "See, I do have a life!" Uh, not any more you don't. ;)

Little Girls are the bomb. You've got a decade to get prepared, though!

Our little one is 7 months old, and it's so much better than I ever thought it would be. Nothing like seeing them smile, or hearing them laugh.

Welcome to Club ParentHood!

Congratulations are in order.

Good luck, Mr. and Mrs. Kuff!

I'll second Amy's comment about no longer having a life, but congratulations are definitely in order. Glad to hear everyone's doing well.

She looks like one of the good ones; congratulations.

Congratulations! Lots of great firsts to look forward to -- first smile, first six-hour stretch of sleep, first MOB show....

Congratulations! I hope to meet her someday during one of my Houston sojourns. :)

Let me add to the chorus of best wishes to you all. I never realized how fond I've become of my favorite bloggers (and yes, you're one!) -- who'da thunk seeing that photo of you two would have brought a tear to my cynical ol' eye ...

Congratulations to you, and high fives to Olivia for having the great fortune to land with such wonderful folks.
