Chris Bell has a question for Governor Perry: When are you going to get around to signing SB410, which would enable and assist Texans to buy cheaper prescription drugs from Canada? You'd think providing that kind of relief for Texans would be a priority, but apparently not for Rick Perry.
UPDATE: In the Pink says it with a picture.
Posted by Charles Kuffner on June 08, 2005 to That's our Lege | TrackBackI find this reprehensible. Canadian drugs are cheaper because the Canadian government has forced drug companies to sell drugs, often at below cost. The companies therefore have to recoup thier development costs on the backs of the US consumer. This is true of all the countries with socialized medicine. The US consumer ends up footing the bill for the rest of the world's drugs.
