Casey looks at the anti-DeLay ad

Rick Casey looks at the anti-DeLay ad that the wussy local stations declined to run, and agrees with FactCheck about its veracity. One more day in the news cycle for an ad that would have been remarked on once had it aired as planned. Good strategic move, there, Tom.

Not only does he keep the issue alive, Casey makes the four Houston TV stations look scared or, worse, partisan. I suspect all four are both scared and partisan, not wanting to offend Republican-owned businesses who purchase ad time, or incur the wrath of Tom DeLay who, by some slight chance, might still recover from this mess and actually be able to punish them.

All four are definitely scared, albeit not of a libel suit so much as what "the Hammer" might do as a Houston Congressman, especially if he pulls another term out of his hat.

At least two (the BELO- and Fox-owned affiliates) are likely partisan as well. I doubt the Disney-owned affiliate is partisan, but even they'll only go so far left (they canned Jim Hightower when he criticized them after they bought ABC, remember).

instead of hat, maybe DeLay pulls another term out of his......GOP owned and operated during elections, non-evidentiary touchscreen voting machines which he has pushed onto some of his precincts just recently.

Democrats, Libertarians and Greens...
