Friday random music question

One of the songs that KACC radio has on fairly regular rotation is "Metro" by The Vincent Black Shadow (music video here, for those who are unfamiliar with it). Recently, every time it has played, Olivia has announced "I like this song". I can't think of any other song for which she has voiced an opinion, positive or negative. So the question for you is, what does this portend for her future musical tastes? If it helps, I like it, too. Does this make me more or less likely to be appalled/freaked out/horrified by the stuff she'll be listening to as a teenager? Please discuss. Thanks.

By the time she gets to be a teenager I'm over 90% sure you will hate her music.

I see a future for her in goth. Brace yourself.

Then again, when I was a kid, me and my sister would always make mom crank up the radio whenever Terry Jacks' "Seasons in the Sun" came on. Looking back, no clue what really struck us about that song and it doesn't really even fit well with most of the 70s stuff I still keep in heavy rotation. So maybe Olivia's current choice in favetunes means not a whole lot.

You could always plug that song into Pandora and see what it spits back at you.

My daughter is a big fan of the Gilmore Girls theme, which means she will probably - like her mother - gravitate to acoustic music largely bereft of Y chromosomes.

Huzzah.

I think she may be intrigued by the way some of the lyrics are sung. I couldn't make out exactly what she was saying, so it sounded something like "diggity diggity..." to me. Not totally unlike something you'd hear in children's music.
