Judge narrows sign ordinance injunction

Here’s an update to the billboard ordinance lawsuit, from earlier this week.

A federal judge on Tuesday clarified her recent order enjoining the city’s sign ordinance, allowing inspectors to again enforce most provisions in the code.

U.S. District Judge Melinda Harmon, however, maintained her objection to the city’s threatened enforcement against billboards in its extraterritorial jurisdiction, a five-mile band just outside Houston’s limits.

It’s not really clear to me what this means. What provisions are now enforceable again? I presume the billboards in the ETJ are still off-limits.Anybody know more about it?
