Hawk enters the Hall

Congratulations to Andre Dawson for his election to the Hall of Fame. I’ll be honest, I don’t know how you can induct Dawson when guys like Bert Blyleven, Roberto Alomar, Tim Raines, Allen Trammell, and Barry Larkin are on the outside looking in, but like Rob Neyer, I’ve given up trying to figure out how these particular voters think. At least the next couple of years have no slam dunk candidates in them, so maybe a few of these egregious oversights will be corrected. Beyond that, I’ll just hand it over to Allen Barra and Steven Goldman and call it a night.
