Friday random ten: Parenthetically speaking, part 5

You know the drill by now…

1. Holy Lamb (Song For Harmonic Convergence) – Yes
2. HOOPS Yes! (FC Dallas) – The Polyphonic Spree
3. How Sweet It Is (To Be Loved By You) – James Taylor
4. I Am Weary (Let Me Rest) – The Cox Family
5. I Can’t Stand Up (For Falling Down) – Elvis Costello And The Attractions
6. I Didn’t Know I Loved You (Till I Saw You Rock and Roll) – Gary Glitter
7. (I Got Everything I Need) Almost – The Blues Brothers
8. I Got It Bad (And That Ain’t Good) – Duke Ellington
9. I Got You (I Feel Good) – James Brown
10. I Knew You Were Waiting (For Me) – George Michael with Aretha Franklin

Did you know that “I Got You” is the official name of the James Brown classic? I bet at least 99 people out of a hundred would say it’s “I Feel Good”. The Gary Glitter song was on a compilation CD of 70s music, of which I have a few. I’m not proud of it. Everything else is pretty good, though.
