After all, there are likely to be voters focused on the governor and senate races. Get them to vote Democrat and that helps Nick as well as the other down ballot candidates. I can envision a case where Bell and Radnofsky ad buys in Houston help Nick more than a Lampson ad buy in Sugarland.
On a completely different topic, I wrote in a BOR diary that a Hidalgo Democrat could beat Cuellar. Cuellar's claim that he doesn't need Hidalgo is bogus too. In 2004, there were 3000 more Democratic votes in that part of Hidalgo than in Webb.
