Song #96 on the Popdose Top 100 Covers list is the first one involving a former 80s hip-hop star turned TV star, and also the first one in which the cover is of a significantly different style than the original. The song is “I Need Love”, and we’ll start with the folky cover by Luka Bloom:

What do you think Callan and Hetty would make of that? Personally, I’m lukewarm on hiphop, so I’m predisposed to prefer Bloom’s version. I liked it enough to want to check out some of his other music, in fact. What did you think of these two songs?
