Interview with District Attorney Kim Ogg

Kim Ogg

Hard to believe, but we are one week out from early voting for the 2020 primaries in Texas. It’s been a busy interview season for me, as I’m sure you can imagine. This week we will wrap things up with the highlight race on the Democratic side, the primary for District Attorney. Kim Ogg is serving her first term as Harris County DA after winning decisively in the 2016 blue wave. Ogg began her career in the DA’s office in 1987, serving as a chief felony prosecutor during that time. She was appointed Houston’s first Anti-Gang Task Force Director by Mayor Bob Lanier in 1994, and served as the Executive Director of Crime Stoppers of Houston from 1999 to 2006. She made an unsuccessful run for DA in 2014 before her winning campaign two years later. I interviewed her for each of those, and you can listen to the 2016 interview here. You can listen to this year’s interview right here:

I’m disappointed that Sean Teare isn’t running against her. He’s got the exposure to beat her, and he strikes me as someone who isn’t down with her Soros backed agenda of fomenting crime and destabilizing the county.

We need a D.A. whose focus is public safety. Bring back Johnny Holmes!

  2. brad says:

Holy friggin’ moly…I swear I saw Soros and Ogg having a beer in the back corner of West Alabama Drive-In the other day plotting the overthrow of the county government and thought to myself “No Way…Is this real?!”.

And they were speaking in Latin. Possible Illuminati connections?

  3. mollusk says:

geez, brad… it’s going to take a while to clean and dry out my screen and keyboard.

Brad, I can’t force you to accept reality. I mean, shit, here’s the Houston Chronicle article that SAYS Soros kicked in a half mil so Ogg could buy the race. Is the Houston Chronicle not liberal enough for you to believe? I can find other sources, I guess, if that will help you.

This is the problem today. We can’t all even agree on the same facts.

This article says Kim took $ 600k, not $ 500k, from Soros. Maybe there was an extra $ 100k after the Chron article came out? It’s interesting to see the other D.A. races he bought, like the son of cop killers who is the San Francisco D.A. now.

  6. brad says:

    Well, it is settled then.

Any donation to any candidate anywhere means its open season to spread conspiracy theories.

“…fomenting crime to destabilize the county…”…really?!

i heard the guy (Trump supporter and donor) who shot up the pizzeria to shut down Clinton’s pedophilia ring was actually doing this to throw everyone off the trail of Trump’s pedophilia ring that he is running out of the Oval Office under the noses of the Secret Service with the help of the First Lady Melania.

  7. Manny says:

Bill only you with you wild conspiracies can get yourself all worked up over a rich “Jewish” person giving money to liberal causes. By the way he is not trying to overthrow the country, that distinction belongs to the god that you worship, Trump. Trump is an asset of the Russian government, bought paid for and working to make Putin rich, very rich. He is helping Putin and the Russians to the tune of hundreds of millions of dollars a year.

“In the year since the Trump administration declared what amounted to economic war against the Venezuelan government of President Nicolás Maduro — an oil embargo that cut it off from its biggest petroleum buyer, the United States — the move has yielded some clear losers, including U.S. investors now shut out of the market.

It has also produced one clear winner: Vladimir Putin’s Russia.

U.S. officials, oil industry insiders and analysts say secret deals between Moscow and Caracas to produce, transport and sell oil to other markets have become a cash cow for Russia that is earning its state-controlled enterprises an estimated $120 million a month.”

  8. Manny says:

I wonder how much Trump will be getting back from Putin, quid pro quo, that is how your god works Bill.
