Interview with Hank Gilbert

Hank Gilbert

I will have a few interviews to present for the November election. Nearly all of the people I wanted to talk to in the greater Houston area were in contested primaries, and thus I have already interviewed them, but there are several more I’ll be trying to get. Beyond that, I’m reaching out to various Congressional candidates, and will hope to have as many of those as I can. We’ll start today with an old friend, Hank Gilbert, whom I interviewed before in 2006 and 2010 when he ran for Ag Commissioner. Hank is a rancher and high school agriculture teacher who grew up near Tyler, and he’s trying to do the world a favor by sending Louie Gohmert off to retirement in CD01. It’s a tough challenge in a red district, but if anyone is up to it, it’s Hank. If you’d like to close your eyes and imagine what it would be like to have a normal, rational, compassionate human being representing this Congressional district, go ahead and give this interview a listen:

I will be presenting further interviews as I can. Please let me know what you think.

  1. Bill Daniels says:

I wonder how a guy like Hank, a Texas rancher, feels like he has anything in common with ‘The Squad,’ or Pelosi, or Cuomo, or Bernie Sanders. There’s got to be a disconnect for Hank when he sees everyone in the big tent with him.

Any Texas rancher who isn’t a Trump supporter would just about have to be an old style blue dog, a vanishing species. Kuff, I wish you had asked Hank how he reconciles the fact that he’s on the same team with ‘The Squad,’ BLM, Antifa, and the others tearing up our cities.

Does Hank believe that America was never great? Does Hank believe statues have to come down and streets and schools need to be renamed? I’d really like to hear a Texas cattle rancher and AG teacher justify all of that.

  2. Bill Daniels says:

One thing I do agree with Hank about is sounding the alarm bells about Smithfield and JBS being foreign owned. That’s a national security threat, if nothing else. He’s also right that there’s really no competition in the packing industry. He’s got a good bead on that, and I give him credit for saying it. He also has an interesting proposition, to re-institute a national food reserve.

Unrelated, Hank says the stupidest member of Congress is Louie Gohmert? Sheila Jackson Lee would like a word with Hank, as would Hank Johnson, who still, to this day, is worrying about Guam tipping over. She-Jack, on the other hand, still seems to be seething that there is a US flag on Mars, considering how she hates the US and knows that the US was never great.

  3. Ross says:

Bill, Gohmert makes my long dead dog look like a genius. He is a complete and utter moron with no brain at all. Don’t let your hatred for Blacks blind you to the fact that SJL is not as dumb as she occasionally sounds.

Very few Blacks think the US is as great as you think it is. Of course, you’ve never been stopped for no reason, put up against a wall or on the ground for no reason, or harassed based on your color.

On a related note, speaking of stupidity, see Bill Daniels and Donald Trump.

All those who disagree chime in?
