Interview with Juliet Stipeche

We wrap up our week of HISD candidate interviews with another incumbent. Juliet Stipeche is finishing up her first full term in District 8; she won a special election in 2010 to fill a vacancy left when then-Trustee Diana Davila (now her opponent this year) resigned. A civil litigation attorney and certified mediator, Stipeche is a graduate of the High School for Criminal Justice and Rice University. One of the fiercer critics of outgoing Superintendent Terry Grier, Stipeche chairs the Audit Committee and served as Board President in 2014. Here’s the interview:

(Note: All HISD candidate interviews took place before Superintendent Terry Grier announced his resignation.)

You can see all of my interviews as well as finance reports and other information on candidates on my 2015 Election page.
