The End of the World predicitions are worth a few laughs. I’m reminded of a group that was handing out flyers outside of Madison Square Garden during the winter of 1998 saying that Jesus was coming and the Rapture would soon be at hand. They even gave a date in March when this would supposedly occur.

March came and went without anything happening, however, they were taped over the word “March” and wrote “September” instead. Since this was late in the hockey season, I was with my brother on my way to a Rangers game when I saw the new date. I turned to him and asked the following question out loud:

“Is Eric Clapton going to be the opening act?” 🙂
