Interview with Nick Lampson

Nick Lampson

I still have one more State House primary to cover, that being the one in HD144, but the way things worked out I wound up doing interviews with local Congressional candidates first, so I’m going to run those this week. First up is the familiar name of former Rep. Nick Lampson, back in the saddle again for a run at the new CD14, which looks a lot like the old CD09 that he represented before Tom DeLay mucked things up back in 2003. You know what he brings to the table – experience, a passion for the space industry, excellent constituent service, and on and on. It’s always a pleasure to talk to him – the previous opportunity I had was in 2008 – and you can listen to it here:

You can find a list of all interviews for this cycle, plus other related information, on my 2012 Harris County Primary Elections page. You can also follow this blog by liking its Facebook page.

i disagree with kuffner, nick is way yesterday, the voter is smart enough to wonder why he hasnt moved on to other ventures in his life, the voters are changing, there not quick to bring a politician back on from yester years, nick performs poorly, he does not gain this seat,…

lets get a politician anew-fresh vision with new perspective

with nick its the same old same old,he wont win -mark my words

  2. Eric Weinmann says:

    Joshua,

I am buying you a keyboard with punctuation marks for Christmas.

  3. joshua bullard says:

lol lol lol eric weinmann, i must say i think i have always been a bigger fan of you than you are of me, but i think you and charles kuffner are on the late train-the era has changed, there is no more correct spelling in the text age, spellcheck is available for everyone ,if someone doesnt like the spelling and would rather it spelled old school style.then spell check it your self…

if you just have to know the truth, the truth is when i get around to blogging on kuffners site i am always juiced up on a my second venti double shot pike place from starbucks, spellcheck would slow my rytham,as you can see i do have a fan base of select readers…

you being one of them eric weinmann…………

    respectfully submitted joshua ben bullard

  4. Bill Eisenstein says:

    WHAT?!
Did you just say spelling doesn’t matter?!
I don’t know what you are going to do when you have kids Mr. Bullard.

Learn to spell. Get educated, son.

  5. Eric Weinmann says:

What is a rytham? You mean a rhythm? I will also make sure it has a “Shift” key.

  6. Bill Eisenstein says:

    Bullard is a republican manipulator.

If you look at the breakdown of the vote much of Keisha’s vote came from crossover voters in the Clear Lake area who wanted to make sure the incumbent, Pete Olson, was re-elected with token opposition. Olson of course has been little more than a train wreck as a representative.

CD22 citizens are not focused on impeaching Obama and colonizing Mars. They are focused on having good jobs, retiring with good Medicare and Social Security, and making sure kids have A+ education. Doesn’t matter R or D. Im pretty conservative, but I know Id never want an extremist representing me!

  7. Harvey Russell says:

I see the carpetbagger is coming home. What a shame. I am not a drinking man but can not imagine how drunk I would have to be to vote for Lampson.

  8. Ann says:

Response to the Lampson ‘carpetbagger’ insult originated on Fox News: http://mediamatters.org/research/200603100001
