5. Walk This Way – Aerosmith (#336)
6. Beat It – Pomplamoose (#337, orig. Michael Jackson)
7. The Harder They Come – Jimmy Cliff (#341)
8. Jim Dandy – Black Oak Arkansas (#344, orig. Lavern Baker)
9. Tears In Heaven – Eric Clapton (#353)
10. Bad Moon Rising – Creedence Clearwater Revival (#355)

I don’t think I’ve ever heard “Dancing Barefoot”, “Sweet Jane”, “The Harder They Come”, or “Jim Dandy” on the radio. Going back through the previous entries, there are quite a few other songs for which that’s true, but for whatever the reason I didn’t think about that till this set. You can hear “Jim Dandy” in the movie “Dazed and Confused”; as noted before, “Bad Moon Rising” was in “An American Werewolf in London”. And just in case you’ve never seen it, here’s the Run-DMC version of “Walk This Way”:

Awesome. By the way, did anyone have trouble seeing the videos in last week’s Top Ten post? I see it fine in Chrome, but in Firefox it only shows if I click the link for the post, not on the index page. I suspect this has to do with the new “iframe” embed code. Anyway, leave a comment and let me know. Thanks.

Entire song list report: Started with “Take It All Away” by CAKE. Finished with “Take On Me”, by RAC, song #5222. I would have done more, but lost a day after I made the regrettable decision to download and install an OS update on the iPod, which failed spectacularly and required a full restore. I’m not complaining – it could have been worse – but it did set me back. And today was a lost day as well, thanks to being home with the kids instead of being in a nice, quiet office. So just a slim 22 tunes this week.
