HCC redistricting update

The last of the HCC public meetings on redistricting is tonight at 7 at HCC – Northeast College (map here), so those of you that are into that sort of thing should make plans to attend. There is now a fourth plan that will be up for consideration. Say what else you want to about HCC’s Board of Trustees, they’ve conducted this business in the open, with hearings scheduled in advance so members of the public might actually be able to attend them, unlike a certain legislative body in Austin I could name. Anyway, once they and the Lege finish their business, Commissioners Court will be the last redistricters standing. And Lord knows when the Court will get around to it. (Just FYI, Travis County has started its redistricting process.) Greg has more.
