Friday random ten: Still more new music

Once more to the new music. I’ll probably take another tour through Genius-land starting next week, but for now we’re still mining the new music.

1. Fancy Footwork – Chromeo
2. Everybody Hurts – Elk City
3. Running Away – The Polyphonic Spree
4. Money (That’s What I Want) – The Beatles
5. FM – Steely Dan
6. Safety Zone – Lou Reed
7. Jenny Jenkins – Lisa Loeb
8. Sunrise – Yeasayer
9. I Hung My Head – Johnny Cash
10. Dime – CAKE

What are you listening to this week?

  1. Steely Dan’s “FM” is much more memorable than the movie it was written for. I vaguely recall Martin Mull may have been in it, and I think maybe Linda Ronstadt made an appearance. (I like her, but the movie wasn’t good.)

  2. Patrick says:

I’m not listening to much new music but I have been enjoying a listening to a good mix of 6 CDs on random play. (I know, it’s so 1995 of me.)

    Annie Lennox – Medusa
Lyle Lovett – Anthology Vol 1
Nancy Griffith – Late Night Grand Hotel
The Gypsy Kings – Best of…
Alison Kraus – A Hundred Miles or More
Nora Jones – Feels Like Home

It makes for a really nice wine drinking vibe.
