Who’s willing to tell Trump he’s all wet?

Not Greg Abbott or Dan Patrick.

During a visit to Pinkerton’s Barbecue on Friday afternoon, gubernatorial candidate Lupe Valdez said Gov. Greg Abbott failed to forcefully refute the president, who said on Wednesday that some Texans “went out in their boats to watch the hurricane” and that it “didn’t work out too well.”

Abbott told the Chronicle that he had “no information one way or another about that,” comments Valdez said were intended to avoid confronting the president.

“The heck with Trump… what are you doing taking care of somebody else?” Valdez said of Abbott. “Take care of your own people.”

[Lt. Governor candidate Mike] Collier said Trump’s comments were “one of the more offensive things I’ve ever heard.” He said that Texas’ elected Republican leaders have refrained from criticizing Trump’s comments because they want to protect the president.

See here for the background. Look, this is a layup, even for a craven Republican like Abbott or Patrick. “I’m not sure what the President saw, but the rest of us saw many people going out into the storm to help their neighbors, because that’s what we do in Texas”. Joe Straus got it right. It ain’t rocket science. Now, I do appreciate Abbott and Patrick giving Valdez and Collier a chance to dunk on them, but don’t these guys have advisers? Whatever, keep up the good work, fellas.

Greg Abbott the Russian cheeto lover had this to say about the Russian puppet’s words concerning Texans going out on boats to watch Harvey, “Abbott told the Chronicle that he had “no information one way or another about that,”

The same piece of sorry excuse for a governor did this
You see, there are these Wal-Marts in West Texas that supposedly closed for six months for “renovation.” That’s what they want you to believe. The truth is these Wal-Marts are going to be military guerrilla-warfare staging areas and FEMA processing camps for political prisoners. The prisoners are going to be transported by train cars that have already been equipped with shackles.

Don’t take my word for it. That comes directly from a Texas Ranger, who seems pretty plugged in, if you ask me. You and I both know President Obama has been waiting a long time for this, and now it’s happening. It’s a classic false flag operation. Don’t pay any attention to the mainstream media; all they’re going to do is lie and attack everyone who’s trying to tell you the truth. Abbott like Trump is a racist, bigoted tool of the Russians.

For all you so called progressive who believe that cross over votes are good for you, look at the link and think on that, because that is what you are supporting, if you don’t care about black, brown, or female think on https://www.salon.com/2018/06/08/tennessee-store-puts-no-gays-allowed-sign-back-up-after-supreme-courts-wedding-cake-ruling/

Vote straight Democrat in November, and get all your friends and neighbors that would vote as Democrats to vote, for the Republicans send them a letter that the voting location has changed.

I would have preferred that Abbott make a statement of gentle correction to Trump, just to set the record straight. Not impressed with the actual non committal response. C’mon, Abbott!

It would be hilarious that you actually think that Trump would listen, except that your sort of delusion is why this country is in serious trouble.

  5. Paul Kubosh says:

Bill is why this country is in serious trouble? Man o Man…..if you guys are the heart of the Democrat Party the Republicans have nothing to worry about. Y’all are funny

  6. Flypusher says:

So Paul, the corruption and bigotry don’t bother you? Trump talking like he’s above the law sets off no alarm bells? Trump’s refusal to take advice or read briefings is a good thing?

    What Flypusher said

  8. Paul Kubosh says:

I am talking about Bill. You said his “dillusion is why this country is in serious trouble”. I think it is funny you really think that.
