Interview with Jamaal Smith

Jamaal Smith

Continuing with the candidates who hope to succeed Rep. Scott Hochberg in HD137 we have Jamaal Smith, whom you may remember from his time as Executive Director of the HCDP and as the Deputy Campaign Manager and Campaign Manager from the 2008 and 2010 Coordinated Campaigns. Before his stint with the HCDP Smith was the Legislative Director for the late Rep. Joe Moreno, and more recently has been a policy advisor and community liaison for Sen. Rodney Ellis. One Response to Interview with Jamaal Smith

  1. Bill Kelly says:

To be fair, Jamaal was one of the main reasons the Coordinated Campaign was successful in 2008. Far from being my caddie, he was really running the show. I think it says a lot about a person (nevermind a person seeking office!) that shares success rather than claiming it for himself. It was a prime reason we were so successful in 2008 and one of the best qualities we can hope for in elected officials.

Please support my friend Jamaal Smith for HD 137. He will work hard for the people of his district and never forget who sends him to Austin: the people.
