CD07 candidate forum

Happening tomorrow, at the Trini Mendenhall Community Center, 1414 Wirt Road, Houston, Texas 77055, from 6:15 to 8:45. My guess, as this is the way these things tend to go, is that there will be some mix-and-mingle time with the candidates up front, with the main event to follow. I’m just guessing, you might want to post something on the Facebook event page if you need to know. The event moderator is an old friend and college classmate of mine, Patrick Pringle. Should be a good event, so if you voted for one of the other candidates in March and need to figure out who deserves your vote in May, this is a good chance to do that.

Moser speaks and answers questions the first hour, 15 minutes of mingle, then Fletcher speaks and answers questions

As another option, they also have a debate scheduled for the following Wednesday (May 2).

I think one will find that Fletcher and Moser do not differ all that much on the issues, but this choice is more about temperament and the tactics each candidate would use to serve their constituents, Texas, and the United States.

That is setting aside the electability component in defeating Culberson, which has already received quite a bit of focus.

    Thanks, Charles.

Still another option, Ken…go to both.

That said you do point out one of the key challenges – the likelihood of similar positions on a great many policy matters. I will try to suss our some differences on policy positions and address the politics of the general.

Michelle has the format correct. We have some questions ready to go to start but want to leave some time for some questions from the audience.
