Berra’s wisdom

In case you were wondering, it’s games like last night’s that Yogi Berra had in mind when he said that thing about it not being over until it’s over. Reversals of fortune don’t get much more whiplash-inducing than that.

What can you say? Time for Oswalt to do it again. And to think I thought I’d be able to watch “Lost” with a clear conscience on Wednesday. It’s never that easy, I suppose.

  1. It’s also time for:

    1) Ensberg to sit out. Lamb to third.

    2) Willy to start. Burke in Left.

    3) Adam Everett to either bunt and suicide squeeze or get off the team. Zero for Six RISP with less than 2 outs.

    4) Qualls to face Pujols late, Wheeler to be first man out, Gallo to be held in reserve when Lidge screws up.

Welcome to Tom Niedenfuer’s nightmare, Houston fans. And Laurence, it’s not just Everett’s BA with RISP, it’s the whole team’s, isn’t it? Didn’t Berkman’s HR make it about 4 for 30?

I am rooting for the Astros, despite how that may sound.
