I got those orange traffic cone blues

This is going to be my life for the next year and a half: construction on the main road through my neighborhood. What a lovely complement that will be to the messes on Loop 610, I-10, and US 59. And this latest project is forcing my favorite bakery to move, too. Argh.

    I’ve been dreading this too.

I hope De Capo’s (which incidentally also makes the best sandwiches in H-Town) finds someplace to go.

I wonder what will become of other businesses that only have entrances on Studewood. For example, the 11th Street Cafe and my favorite filthy hamburger stand, Someburger.

  2. I think Someburger gets a ton of walkups, so they ought to be fine. Eleventh Street Cafe is probably worried, though.

Someburger is more than fine. I’m only 19 and all my friends love those burgers it sure is some burger. The employees are friendly and obviously it is just more than fine..it is great! So it is gonna stay. And i happen to know personally that it is far from filthy. I am a neat freak..some say..and i know that place is as clean as clean can be.

Been going to soneburger since it used to be down the street where the plant store is now about a 2 blocks up on 11th.Went there two staurdays ago all was well alot of walkups still go through better to call ahead if you don’t feel like waitnig and the cones are a pain try coming through 12th by the car wash and up through the dirt lot, alot easier to access the parking lot. These burgers are great!!!713-862-0019
