Lupe Valdez

Nice article on Lupe Valdez, the new Sheriff of Dallas County. I sure look forward to the day when the Harris County GOP chair has to look for a reason why his candidate just lost a race like that. I admit, though, that I didn’t read the headline in quite the same fashion as Kimberly.

    Nice article. I finally had a chance to talk to Lupe for a minute last night at the Stonewall Democrats Christmas Party in Dallas. I asked if she knew anything about blogs, and her response was one of confusion. Hehe. Well, as long as she’s a good sheriff, I could care less…

    There’s a lot of temptation for many in Dallas County to say about Lupe Valdez: “Anything’s better than what we used to have for sheriff.” I won’t fall into that trap because I think she is very capable, and I wish her well because there’s a lot of work to be done in that department.
