    That posted yesterday.

I wonder if “Environmental Racism” is likely to resonate with many voters.

  2. I’m a little surprised that Chris Bell would say he may be the first to use the phrase “environmental racism”. The phrase has actually been used for some time to describe the practice of putting environmentally detrimental infrastructure in minority populated areas due to a perception that there will be less organized resistance.

I think if the concept is fully fleshed out for voters to understand, it will resonate very well with those voters.

Yeah, well we ought to start in Houston by asking the Chron, The Press, and Channles 2, 13 and 11 how many times they’ve done front page/top news stories about the health risks to people living close to some of the Houston area’s Superfund sites…or the correlation between the rise in new types of cancer cases and geographic proximity to a refinery or petrochem facility.

There’s pleanty we could do right here at home.
