That didn’t take long

As expected, GOP Senate candidate John Cornyn fired back at Ron Kirk for suggesting that Cornyn would be less gung-ho about invading Iraq if children of privilege were on the front lines. I’m so surprised.

  1. Kirk was foolish to start race-baiting with regards to the military, intimating that Cornyn cared less about placing minority soldiers at risk. If he’d left it with the old “children of privilege” canard, that would have been bad enough, but he stepped over the line by insinuating more.

    I think it is especially inappropriate considering that Cornyn’s own father was a career Air Force veteran.
