Houston’s Toyota Center was not among the eight venues selected Wednesday as finalists to host the NCAA Women’s Final Four.
The eight sites that remain in contention for the five-year cycle from 2012-16 are Dallas; San Antonio; Columbus, Ohio; Denver; Indianapolis; Nashville, Tenn.; New Orleans; and Tampa Fla.
The host sites will be announced in mid-November.
I hope we try again for after 2016. I still hope to take my girls to this event someday, and it would be cheaper and easier if it’s here in Houston. Houston Roundball Review has more.
