Now hear this: If Jim Henson were still alive, there’s no way that the Muppets would be shilling for Pizza Hut. That is all.

    I disagree. The Muppets started out as puppets in advertising. Kermit shilled some brand of coffee to get his start.

    Would the Muppets shill for Pizza Hut in that way? Probably not. And I think you’re going to see more shameful performances from the old gang now that a certain Mouse owns them.

    I think The Muppets would have been happy to shill for Pizza Hut if Jim Henson were still alive; I just like to imagine that they would have been funny while doing it.
