Another contender

Ohio Rep. Marcy Kaptur is now in the running to be House Minority Leader. I’ll say it again: Whoever can best upgrade him or herself to be Majority Leader in 2004 is the one I want.

    I know nothing about about her but I’m puzzled. Since Pelosi seems to have to votes, I figured Ford was just trying to get to PR for the future, or a shot at a lesser role. So why would she get into the race this late?

    Good question. Maybe she doesn’t think Pelosi really has those votes, maybe she’s a spoilsport, maybe she sincerely thinks she can do the best job. The article didn’t speculate.
